Some dogs come into rescue needing a little extra help. And then there are dogs like Bucky, dogs who remind us exactly why rescue matters.

When Bucky first came to GRRSN, we knew his medical history was complicated. He had experienced a serious neurological episode and has needed daily prednisone to keep his symptoms under control. He also has hip dysplasia and some of the challenges that can come with long-term steroid use. While we didn’t have a definitive diagnosis, we knew one thing for sure: Bucky deserved the chance to live his life surrounded by love, comfort, and people committed to his well-being.

And now, he has exactly that.

Bucky has settled beautifully into his new forever foster home, and it didn’t take long for him to fit right in. He is now happy, comfortable, and enjoying life with his new family and they are already completely smitten with this sweet boy.

As a Forever Foster, Bucky gets to stay right where he is for the rest of his life. His family provides the love, safety, companionship, belly rubs, and all the little things that make a house a home. GRRSN covers all of his medical care and expenses, making sure Bucko gets whatever he needs along the way.
After everything this gentle boy has been through, we couldn’t ask for anything more than this: a soft place to land, a family to love him, and the opportunity to simply enjoy being a Golden.
