Limited recall for specific Purina ONE dog food
On Friday, via a press release, Nestlé Purina announced a voluntary recall for some of their adult dog food products.
Specifically impacted in this voluntary recall are a limited number of 3.5-pound bags of its “Purina ONE beyOnd Our White Meat Chicken & Whole Barley Recipe” Adult Dry Dog Food.
The recall, which is for a potential salmonella contamination, only impacts one production run, and it was shipped to retail customers in the United States.
To err on the side of caution, the company decided to issue the voluntary recall after discovering just one bag which was contaminated with salmonella.
This specific production run has a “best by” date and production code of 31071083, which can be found on the back, or bottom of the bag.
No other Purina products have been impacted by this recall.
Consumers who would like to obtain a refund are asked to call 1-800-473-8546.
