Bear – Adoption Pending

Bear is a handsome 5 year old Golden Retriever with a heart as sweet as his name. He recently came to GRRSN after his owner became terminally ill and could no longer care for him. While this has been a big change for Bear, he’s settling into foster care nicely and is ready to find the loving forever family he deserves.

New experiences can be a little overwhelming for Bear, but he takes everything in stride and continues to gain confidence every day. Although Bear can be a bit shy when meeting new people, he doesn’t stay that way for long, especially if you have a tennis ball! Fetch is, without question, his favorite pastime. His second favorite? Swimming! If his forever home has a pool where he can splash and play, he’d be one happy boy!

Bear is house trained, gets along well with other dogs and has been an absolute gentleman in his foster home. Cats are currently unknown, but given his gentle, easygoing nature, they may be a good fit with proper introductions.

His foster mom describes Bear as the perfect houseguest and says whoever adopts him will be getting an incredible dog.

Bear has been through a lot of change, but his loving heart hasn’t changed one bit. Now all he needs is a family to call his own.
