Ammo

Ammo is a golden-hearted senior with a soul full of loyalty. When his beloved owner passed away unexpectedly, Ammo stayed faithfully by her side until help arrived,  a quiet, powerful reminder of the bond they shared.

Following that loss, Ammo found himself in the shelter system, confused and without the seizure medication he relied on. Thankfully, we were able to get him out and bring him into our care, where he could begin healing – both inside and out.

On arrival, Ammo was in need of a little extra TLC. He was overweight and developed sore paws and mats in his coat, likely due to limited mobility and time spent alone before he was found. But through it all, he remained calm, gentle, and quietly thankful, soaking up the attention from veterinary staff and rescue volunteers like it was long overdue.

Ammo has since had a full senior check-up, and we’ve restarted his medication and put together a plan to help him feel his best. He’s also receiving care for arthritis and is beginning a gentle weight loss routine to improve his comfort and quality of life.
