Jethro

Meet Jethro, a magnificent 98 pound 6 year old Golden Retriever who is the dictionary definition of a gentle giant. This big boy is incredibly sweet, loves everyone he meets, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs and bigger kids. We haven’t had the opportunity to see him around cats yet, but we think this easygoing gentleman would probably do just fine with them, too!

Jethro is the ultimate companion. He’s house trained, and enjoys going for car rides. And affection is his middle name…let’s just say this handsome guy is always ready for some serious cuddles!

Several years ago, Jethro underwent hip replacement surgery, but you’d never know it by watching him go about his day. It doesn’t seem to slow this happy boy down one bit!

He is also currently being treated for a double ear infection, which he is not happy about, since Jethro absolutely LOVES to swim. We told him this is only temporary and he will be splashing around in no time!

Jethro was surrendered to GRRSN due to no fault of his own.  His mom loved him dearly and had adopted him six months ago when his previous owner passed away.  However, Jethro was often home alone and his new mom made the gracious decision to let us find him a home where he could have a better life.

If you’re looking for a loving, happy, affectionate Golden with a whole lot of love to give, Jethro may be your guy.  He’s ready to find his forever family and show them just how amazing he is!
