Milo
Woo Hoo! Get out your party hats! We have a beautiful newcomer to our Golden family who is like caffeine with a pulse. Welcome, Milo!
Milo is a gorgeous five year old, white Golden who was surrendered because his family had to downsize into an apartment. What we’ve quickly learned is that Milo is a boy who really benefits from having the right routine and outlets to help him settle and thrive!
See, Milo is like a puppy with the zoomies who thinks the party should never end! A very typical Golden thought! But underneath all that excitement is a really good boy who needs structure, consistency, exercise, and emotional stimulation to help him find his calm.
Our amazing foster took him swimming (which Milo was not crazy about) and then on a hike. And, like magic, Milo calmed down, ran out of gas, and fell into a deep sleep! It was a great reminder that when Milo has a good routine and his needs are met, he is perfectly capable of settling in and relaxing. And, the good news is Milo walks great on a leash! He doesn’t pull at all.
We should mention Milo is not yet neutered, but will be this week. This might be part of the reason for his exuberance, so we are optimistic that once he recovers from surgery, he will be a little bit calmer. Keep in mind that he will still need exercise, structure, and a consistent routine to help him be his best self!
Milo is a good boy, though. He is housetrained, gets along with other dogs, and is good with kids. We suggest that only a household with older kids due to Milo’s size and his zest for life!
If you are looking for a wonderful Golden who will thrive with a family willing to give him the exercise, structure, and routine he needs to find his calm, Milo may be the perfect companion for you!
