Meet 10-year-old Sky.

This was one of the worst cases of neglect and abuse that we have seen in this rescue!  Not only has Sky lived her entire life outside in the elements, but she was also chained up.  Sky was never treated like part of the family and it showed! We have never seen a sadder face than hers —  she had given up on ever having a real life.

Sky had a huge mass on her tummy that we immediately had removed and biopsied.  Unfortunately, Sky’s tumor was cancerous but a very low grade of cancer, and we were able to get clean margins.  We hope that we can give this girl some time to finally learn what it’s like to be loved!

Sky is now being fostered in a loving home.  She sleeps on her cozy bed by the fireplace, has learned to place fetch, and now has a smile on her beautiful face.

We can’t promise that you will have Sky for a long time, but we can promise that she will make you smile everyday.  We hope that she only remembers her new life and will never have to look back at the horrible situation she lived in for 10 years!
