Lucy
Lucy is a sweet, happy 11-year-old who has overcome so much and is now enjoying the loving Forever Foster home she deserves.
Lucy came to GRRSN five years ago with her longtime companion, Phoebe, after their owner was no longer able to care for them due to health issues.
When Lucy first arrived, she was on death’s door. She was suffering from Valley Fever and a severe skin condition. Thankfully, both conditions have been under control with medication and Lucy has gone on to live a happy and comfortable life.
Lucy is an affectionate girl who loves attention and has a tail that never seems to stop wagging. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys being part of the family.
Although she isn’t normally a barker, Lucy has a big voice when someone comes to the door and takes her watchdog duties very seriously. She’s all bark and no bite, but she certainly doesn’t need the delivery person to know that!
Lucy recently lost her beloved companion, Phoebe, who had been by her side for many years. While we miss Phoebe dearly, we are grateful that Lucy continues to be surrounded by the love and care she has always deserved.
As a Forever Foster, Lucy’s medical care is provided by GRRSN for the rest of her life. Her foster family provides the most important things of all: a safe home, good food, companionship, and lots of love.
After everything Lucy has been through, we are so grateful that she gets to spend her golden years exactly where she belongs – safe, loved and home.
