Lucy & Phoebe
Lucy and Phoebe were in a loving home for the last 5 years. Unfortunately because of health issues, their owner is no longer able to care for them. Their forever foster dad took them into his home sight unseen. He had heard their stories and was happy to open up his home to them.
Lucy is 9 years old. She came to us on death’s door. She had Valley Fever and a very bad skin condition; both are under control and treated with medication.
Lucy is a happy, 9-year-old girl that loves attention. She never stops wagging her tail and she is just the right height to smack her shorter sister, Phoebe, right in the face! LOL! Lucy is great with other dogs! Although she’s not a barker, she’s a very good watch dog with a big voice when someone comes to the door. She’s all bark and no bite, but a stranger doesn’t need to know that!
Poor 10-year-old Phoebe is the product of a backyard breeder from Pahrump! She came to us 5 years ago with 2 other siblings that have the same genetic defect. They are partially hairless and, although they look like mangy Poodles, they are Goldens, and after you meet Phoebe, you will see that she acts like any other Golden. She loves tennis balls and wants to be right at your side. She’s not much of a shedder — her hair is baby soft and her bald skin is like velvet. Unfortunately, most people can’t see her inner beauty, making her as a senior very hard to place. We will not give up on these two sweet girls!
Although they have been together, they aren’t extremely bonded and we think they will do just fine in separate homes.
They will both be Forever Fosters! GRRSN will pay for all their medical needs for the rest of their lives. All you will need to do is supply their food. Please let us know if you can help us. They both really need a home ASAP!
They can be adopted together or separately.
