Riley Bear

Riley Bear was our first rescue from GRRSN and our most successful one. She came to us at age 4 and was our world for 6 years. She passed very unexpectedly in November (7/7/13-11/20/23). Riley came to us with a number of medical issues, but she was such a poster child for rescuing pups that we continued to adopt GRRSN rescues and just brought home our 4th & 5th rescues a month ago.

At first, Riley was part of our little pack, but for the last 3 years after losing some of our other girls, Riley was our only pup and both of our best friends. She had routines with both of us, but she also loved everyone and everyone loved her. She was “that” perfect dog that even non-pet people fall in love with. We assume Riley is playing over the Rainbow Bridge with all the other goldens we have had in the past 37 years of marriage, and she is telling them all about her morning breakfasts with daddy, her “sanmiches” with mommy, her antics during walks, and, of course, her elephant.
