Lucy

We rescue many dogs throughout the year….not often do we see a dog that has the level of neglect that 11-year-old Lucy has!  We wish we could have rescued this girl a long time ago!

Lucy’s skin and hair were as stiff as cardboard from baking out in the heat.  She has a severe skin infection that has gone untreated for many years.  Her nails were over 2 inches long and she is totally blind in one eye —  an eye that could have been saved if she would had a loving owner!  Lucy was taken from her home, but not soon enough!

Lucy is loving her new “forever foster” home!  She loves her new foster dad and follows him everywhere.  She knows he’s someone she can trust finally!  We are so grateful for our fosters.  We wouldn’t be able to rescue dogs like Lucy without you!❤️

Lucy is starting to feel better!  She was malnourished, but she is now eating and enjoying her foster dad’s home cooking!  As soon as Lucy gets a little stronger, we will have to remove her eye.

We will never turn a dog away because of their age or medical expenses.  Our goal is to make sure that they live out the rest of their lives knowing that they are loved and cared for!
