Summer

Just a quick note to share how much we love our Summer Sunshine! She came to us on July 20, 2018, at age 7 and our hearts went out to her –  in three short days, she went from her only known home to Melissa’s Grooming for a spa day to Sun City Animal Hospital to be spayed and then picked up by yet another stranger.  She is  the sweetest girl we’ve ever had. And you can teach an older dog new tricks! She learned how to walk up and down stairs, lounge comfortably during a car ride, walk on a leash, and enjoy walks despite so many unknown sights and sounds – squawking birds, spurting sprinklers, loud trucks – you name it, she was startled by it. But she loved walking with our other dog and quickly mastered the stairs so she could snuggle with all of us at night. She’s never far from my husband or me, and has won the hearts of friends, neighbors and strangers with her sweet, shy hellos and tentative tail wags. We love her dearly and hope all the other wonderful GRSSN pups find homes filled with plenty of love, walks, belly rubs, snuggles, car rides and excursions!
