The Animal Foundation and the Outside Las Vegas Foundation host the Forever Home Family Picnic and 4K-9 Run, celebrating pets and the people who love them, on Sunday, November 3;
Holly Madison to attend.

LAS VEGAS, NEV. — October 21, 2013 — The Animal Foundation and The Outside Las Vegas Foundation present the Forever Home Family Picnic and 4K-9 Run, a one-of-a-kind dog-friendly outdoor event celebrating Las Vegas pets and the people who love them, on Sunday, November 3 at Sunset Park (7100 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas).

The family-friendly event kicks off at 9:00am with the 4K-9 Run, a fun, 2.5 mile run (or walk!) along Sunset Park’s advanced trail system. All run participants receive a commemorative t-shirt and finisher medal, run timing, run bib and a “Pup Pack” full of goodies for their canine running partner.

From 10:00 am until 2:00 pm, humans and their pups are invited to the Forever Home Family Picnic, offering fun activities for two- and four-legged participants alike, including:
1 mile walk at 11:00am (optional)
Free microchipping and grooming opportunities
Fun pet contests, including Best Smile and Doggie/Owner Look-Alike, judged by Holly Madison
Live entertainment from The Randy Anderson Band and Forgotten Door
A pet-friendly fair with games, activities and pet-friendly vendors
Raffles and giveaways
And more!

Event organizers guarantee a “pawsome” time for attendees and their pets.

“We’re so excited for the Forever Home Family Picnic and 4K-9 Run,” said Meghan Scheibe, marketing and public relations manager for The Animal Foundation. “The event is a unique opportunity to bring together pet lovers, former adopters, and their incredible furry companions to celebrate Las Vegas pets and have fun outdoors while benefiting two great organizations! It’s unlike any other event in Las Vegas.”

“The Forever Home Family Picnic and 4K-9 Run is about celebrating great people, great pets, and the great outdoor places where they can play together,” said Mauricia Baca, Executive Director for the Outside Las Vegas Foundation. “We are thrilled to be part of this wonderful community event, being held at Sunset Park, a beautiful park that has some incredible trails!”

Tickets for the Forever Home Family Picnic and 4K-9 Run are on sale now at animalfoundation.com/event/race. Run registration can be purchased for $44 per human/canine duo (admission to the Picnic is included). Residents in attending the picnic only can purchase entry for $10 per person. Pup Packs are also available for purchase for four-legged Picnic attendees at $5 each. All proceeds benefit The Animal Foundation and the Outside Las Vegas Foundation.
