He was a stray picked up by Animal Control. First listed as a Golden Retriever, by the time I got in to see him the card had been changed to Labrador mix. He was on the rescue list and since meeting him, there was NO way was I not taking him. Poor old boy! He has a lot of Golden with some Lab.
He’s about 8-years old; not neutered; eyes runny with green/ yellow goop, and has a bad molar that needs pulled. Nancy stuck her hand in his mouth and she could actually wiggle the tooth, it seemed quite sensitive. I recommended he be fed canned food since I wasn’t sure if the tooth was painful or not.
Walter enjoyed getting a bath as much as Nancy and I had enjoyed giving it to him. Without protest he took everything we dished out to him, even the nail trimming.
Best description: Walter is a good-natured, loving, gentle boy who loves everyone he meets.
After a little mini-spa day, Walt was swept off to Spencer Springs for a little R&R before the big snip on his “huevos” and a dental. Man poor guy getting it from both ends on Monday.
Walt met a Great Dane and a German Shepherd at the vets, the dogs sniffed each other respectfully and all was well 
Whoever gives Walter a new home, surely will be blessed with his gentle easy way.
