VICTORY! We did it: Bill protecting people and pets signed by governor
|
Thanks to your efforts and Assemblyman Ohrenschall’s perseverance, the governor signed AB 110 into law. This important legislation prevents local governments from adopting or enforcing an ordinance or regulation that deems a dog dangerous or vicious based solely on the breed of the dog.
The new law takes effect on October 1, 2013. This law is part of a national trend against breed discrimination. Every American who follows the safety rules as a responsible dog owner should be allowed to own whatever breed of dog he or she chooses.
Thank you for taking action to promote safe and humane communities. You are wonderful!
With your help, we will be able to achieve a time of No More Homeless Pets®.
Sincerely,
Ledy VanKavage
